Installing a Machine Starts with Good Preparation
A new machine, hygiene installation or cleaning system needs to fit within the existing production environment. Beforehand, we look at where the machine will be positioned, which utilities are needed and how it will fit into the existing setup.
We check the available space, access and connections. We also discuss the schedule and which work the customer, supplier or other parties prefer to carry out themselves beforehand.
Utilities and Piping
You can turn to us for stainless steel piping and other utility connections. We look at pipe routing, existing installations and the space needed for installation, operation and maintenance.
If the site is due to be expanded later, we take those plans into account during preparation wherever possible. This allows the layout and connection points to accommodate future modifications.
On-Site Positioning and Installation
During positioning, we coordinate our work with the customer, machine supplier and other parties involved. We carry out the installation and connections within the scope of our assignment and modify existing piping or connections where needed.
For modifications to machines already in use, we also assess in advance how to keep the work accessible and practical to carry out. The order of work is particularly important in an existing production environment.
An Example from Practice
For a machine supplier, we took on delivery and commissioning at its end customers’ sites. As a result, the supplier’s own service technician did not need to travel to the site. This saved the supplier the technician’s working time and the associated travel time.
For assignments like these, it helps when the person on site can handle the connections and the steps towards commissioning as well as position the machine.
